Moving to Thailand in 2008 Helen was overweight, un satisfied, lacking in confidence and generally living an unhealthy lifestyle...
"Five years ago, I was fat, unhappy, drank a lot, had no real direction in life although I had a big passion for horses. It’s taken a lot, and my journey obviously doesn’t stop here, but so far I am proud of how far I am come, not only with my weight loss but my mental state as well."
Helen's Physical appearance, health, and well being has dramatically changed after taking up Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & Mixed Martial Arts training eventually joining Phuket Top Team and becoming a professional women's MMA fighter.
Helen works full time as a school teacher during the day and in early hours and late afternoon's Helen trains to compete in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA. Combining a full time job and training in all the disciplines for MMA (muay thai, boxing, bjj, wrestling, conditioning, mma sparring).
Inspiring to see someone who has moved to a new country, found health, fitness and happiness, competes in BJJ and MMA successfully, works full time and trains in a sport 99% majority dominated by men.

Continuing the trend of stepping outside the box, pushing the boundaries and continuing to develop... Helen then took a professional Muay Thai fight against a pro muay thai female fighter. Helen's skill set is her wrestling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, stepping into a muay thai fight is was a new experience for Helen, one she did not hesitate to take head on.
The future continues to shine for Helen, who's ultimate goal is to be able to train full time... (dropping her full time job) and focus on her MMA career and competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu through Asia.
