Fighting as a Hunter

Fighting as a Hunter

Fighting as seen through the spectators eyes - is just that.....a spectacle.

A short, sharp, tiny microcosm of the truth behind the reality of creating a fighter.

The truth is, we are evolved beings in an evolved sport that is constantly growing.

However, not matter how evolved we get, the coaches get, the fighters become or even the sport.... the truth is simple. A fighter is a hunter - like an era before weapons and before technology. A fighter grooms themselves through years of physical training, mental training and a long attrition filled journey to competition.

You may see a 'lazy' training fighter, you may see a fighter who only trains right before a fight. You will not see a champion who has achieved without a long and tiring journey to catch there prey.

MMA as a sport is fast, explosive, wild and unforgiving.

The MMA fighter is one who has consistently tread the same path over and over, drilled the same techniques over and over.... gradually built up... slowly chasing there prey.

If you look at a champion who achieves victories with quick and definitive outcomes.... don't be fooled. There training was not quick and definitive.

A fighter must gradually move forward training day after training day, slowly developing, slowly and cautiously watching there prey.

Never forget we are only humans, not so evolved. We use our bodies as they are built, to hunt and to achieve.
